Luther George Park sits between Emma Avenue and the Razorback Greenway trail that runs along Spring Creek. It is intended to be a connector between the city and its neighborhoods and to support events, public art and outdoor markets.
Designed by Spackman Mossop Michaels and Trahan Architects, the 14-acre park was inspired by native landscapes in Arkansas and the cultural richness of the community. It will also feature over 200 new trees that will improve ecosystems and provide shade for visitors to the area.
A 154-foot-long steel sculpture piece will cover the amphitheater at Luther George Park, a project that the City Council agreed to on Tuesday. The sculptural cover is expected to cost $2 million.

The Grove Cottage – Downtown Springdale is a short jaunt to any of these hotspots. The best time to visit is during off hours or on the weekend when most shops and restaurants are not closed.
